Follow Your Heart

A few weeks ago a local charity announced that it could no longer accept clothing and other donations due to a tremendous backlog in their inventory. The tax season, the holidays, and "Clean Sweeps" have had them busy. Just today, the Times Herald had an announcement from the Commander of the local Salvation Army stating that he hoped the community did not confuse their Thrift Store with the other charity's "problem". The Salvation Army Thrift Store, at 729 Howard Street, is still in need of clothing, furniture, and household items. (in Port Huron and surrounding areas, phone (810) 985-6385)

I make note of this information because of a song and music video that has been playing on our CMT cable channel. It is a sweet song about having everything one needs. The setting is a young women's moving/yard sale. At the end of the song, please carefully watch what selflessness is displayed....

.... and love your neighbor as yourself.......

around here if one place is over stocked with donations then they (the over stocked charity) take the over flow to one of the other stores, and they are in no ways attached to each other. Except that everyone tries to help everyone.
