Coming Home

The life of an expatriate is what one makes of it. Our lives here in Mexico are just beginning. We now have a house, a local telephone, a television (those in Podunk were sold or given away), a satellite TV connection (Canadian feed, Detroit feed, etc.), and a DSL internet connection.

What more could we ask for? Hmmm... a used washing machine (we don't need a dryer in this arid mountain village), an entertainment center, and I NEED a rocking chair. We'll try to do without ALL of the gringo creature comforts ... but we want our internets and other things to do during the rainy season.

I have discovered that my Lamictal is available and cheaper down here, as well as several other meds. I already have found a doctor to supervise my medications and care. He works out of a pharmacy as many doctors do in this village.

Mood? Pretty damn good!!! I walk about Ajijic with a smile on my face and with friendly greetings every day (that's a story for another day). Estoy feliz!

Now, it's time to catch up on reading blogs and the news sites.

Hey Lee, you should check out your local where you can get and give away stuff for free!
