Before we left Michigan, we purchased a Polaroid digital camera from our local Target store. It only cost $99. Unfortunately, we didn't get much use from it. It died. As we are "stuck" here, we are likely to toss the clunker rather than attempt an expensive return or exchange.
Last week, I bought a new Nikon digital camera from the Farmacia Guadalajara. I like this camera. I hope to take on a few photo projects with this CoolPix model. I have a new toy.
I also bought a new Toshiba Satellite laptop computer. I will spare you all the details of how I was able to get it down here from the retail store in Michigan. It is here. I am really happy with it. I have another new toy.
So, for now, I have a powerful and satisfying technology fix. Who knows what I'll be jonesing for next?
The picture above was taken yesterday from the Ajijic pier on Lake Chapala. I was facing west.
We not only live in the mountains of central Mexico, we live beside her largest lake. Lake Chapala is about 50 miles long and 15 miles wide at it's widest point. This is Paradise.
