Puppy Mills in Iowa

I don't know what sort of problem Iowans are having with those disgusting folks that breed dogs in horrible conditions and sell diseased and disabled puppies to an unsuspecting public, but according to a recent survey conducted by the Iowa Poll folks, more people in Iowa are concerned about puppy mill legislation than legislation repealing gay marriage.  In fact, it seems Iowan place gay marriage behind their concerns that the Legislature spend more time on the issues of driving while texting (72%), gambling (42%), and payday loans (40%).

A Des Moines Register article with the Iowa Poll is here.  (H/T to Box Turtle Bulletin)

Interesting.  Very interesting.
